Raspberry Pi 3b Touchscreen Box (e.g. for Octroprint)
thingiverse
I wanted a fully functional printer that can operate independently of my PC. Since I already use OctoPrint on a Raspberry Pi 3B, I decided to upgrade it with a touchscreen interface. To create a flexible enclosure, I remixed a box from GobRob using parts from the Modular Mounting System by yyh1002 and added mounts from CDeviant. I designed custom covers for the HDMI, GPIO ports, and audio ports that can be easily attached and detached when needed. These covers must be printed with TPU materials like NinjaFlex. To secure the Raspberry Pi in place, I used foam inserts and may consider adding an internal mounting bracket in the future. The following files are included: OctoPrint Box: a custom enclosure for the Raspberry Pi OctoPrint Box Cover Slotted Female: a back cover with modular mounting system, female version OctoPrint Box Cover Slotted Male: a back cover with modular mounting system, male version Audio Cover: a cover for audio jacks that must be printed in TPU materials GPIO Cover: a cover for the GPIO outlet HDMI Cover: a cover for an HDMI bridge (used when the display is connected via HDMI) Modular Mount 90 Angle: a modified 90mm MMS arm with a 90-degree twist
