Raspberry Pi 3B+ Case for 20mm Noctua Fan
thingiverse
This is a remix of Vince_Print's thing "Raspberry Pi 3B/B+ Case with Noctua Fan". As the title clearly states, it is a case specifically designed for the Raspberry Pi 3B+, meant to house a Noctua NF A4x20 5V Fan. Recently, I set up OctoPrint on a Raspberry Pi 3B+ and wanted to print a case that would also allow fan cooling. I stumbled upon Vince_Print's original design and really liked its style, but the "DIFFICULT TO PRINT" warning turned me off. As a result, I decided to remix the case to minimize supports required. This meant sacrificing some of the intricate details (like the Raspberry Pi logo) for print-ease, a trade-off I was happy to make. This remix breaks down the design into three separate parts: Case Bottom, Case Top, and the Fan Housing. Breaking it down into smaller components makes the print easier to manage and also grants better access to the Pi board after assembly (which may be useful for any wiring adjustments). The Fan Housing features four pegs that slot into specifically-sized holes on the Case's Top. You might need to slightly sand, file, or hobby-knife these holes depending on how tidy your finished print is to ensure a perfect fit. To assemble this thing, you'll need: * Raspberry Pi 3B+ * Noctua NF A4x20 5V Fan (can be PWM version) * 8 x M3 20mm screws * 8 x M3 nuts Update - January 18th: I added .stp versions of the Print at the request of toskium.
