Raspberry Pi 3 with Waveshare 3.5" LCD mounted on Ender 3's Left
thingiverse
This is not a remix. It is, however, very heavily inspired by Tronnic's beautiful Ender 3 Touchscreen Case & Holder for Raspberry Pi. I have printed several copies of Tronnic's and other remixes, all without success because my Waveshare screen hates all of these cases. I originally thought the screen would be the same as the one they'd linked to (theirs is not available in the US), but I was sorrowfully mistaken. I tried, then, to find a good .step file to start from, but the more I worked on those the more I realized I needed to redo this from scratch. Halfway through this design, I found a nicer screen, which I plan to upgrade to, but that means I had to design this (and redesign a lot of parts) to make it HIGHLY customizable from the Fusion 360 file. If you download this - go through the Parameters list and familiarize yourself with it. I plan to make a better tutorial for this later, once I'm officially done with it. I have not yet printed this, and as such, I don't know if the space is good enough for the case to come apart or not. Look in Parameters and change "Gap" to any other number (default is .2) and retry the print. This has been a great learning experience, and I want to thank Tronnic, of course, as well as GobRob for providing their Fusion 360 file which got me started down this dark path, which you can also find on his Thing page.
