Raspberry Pi 3 toolless clip-on case Prusa i3 MK3/S

This is a modification of the Raspberry Pi sleeve case by Tobias Christensen. It has a clip attachment that allows you to attach it to a 30mm v-slot aluminum extrusion such as on the Prusa i3 MK3/S.

Since it's a sleeve case and just clipped on to the extrusion, it allows you to toollessly attach the Raspberry Pi to the printer.

It doesn't attach super-easily, but with some wiggling it still works. You can remove the case from the extrusion again by pressing down the handle-ish thing and twisting the case.

I used it to connect Octoprint on my Pi 3 to the printer via USB and with a separate power source, since I use a smart plug to turn the printer on and off.

Caveat: This apparently collides with the MK3's sled's U-bolt depending on where you want to install it. See the pictures and the comments for details.

Created in Tinkercad: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/9EsTE742qKi

Print instructions

Print with the smaller sides sitting on the print surface.

I used support blockers for the smaller vents, but made sure supports were used with the HDMI and Micro USB ports.

I used PETG with a 0.3mm layer height on a 0.4mm nozzle and it worked fine. I think other materials and layer heights should work as well though.
