Raspberry Pi 3 Slim Case (REMIX) for 30mm Rpi Fan and Magnetic Feet (Optional)
thingiverse
I was in search of a sleek case for my Raspberry Pi 3, one that would provide ample room to secure a stand-mounted 5V fan. After discovering a slim case that met my initial requirements, I realized it lacked a mounting solution for the fan. Undeterred, I decided to modify it myself! My Pi is used to run Octoprint. To attach the fan, simply superglue it in place with a few precise dots of adhesive. Ensure the fan's orientation allows airflow to flow correctly. If you opt for slightly smaller M3 bolts, there's even space to embed 3mm magnets into the holes at the bottom of the case. This clever design enables you to mount your Pi anywhere on your CR-10 or metal control box using these strong magnets. I intend to utilize this feature when securing my Pi in an enclosure later.
