raspberry pi 3 mobile console (xbox 360 controller mount)
thingiverse
This is a complete case and Xbox 360 controller mount for Raspberry Pi 3 and the official 7" Raspberry Pi Touchscreen. This case will let you easily attach your raspberry pi 3 to an Xbox 360 controller for retro gaming on the go, or detach your raspberry and make it a stationary console that can connect to a bigger monitor. The case can also stand alone if you prefer to put it on a table. The case gives full access to all of the raspberry's ports (no access to the microSD card though). I included a file showing how it should look when mounting on a controller, unfortunately I couldn't print this myself because I don't currently own a 3D printer, so if you print this please keep in mind that this print is completely untested and may not fit perfectly on the controller. If you have any problems with this print, please let me know. The files named "controller attachment" and "connector" should be a bit more flexible, so print them with low infill percentage. The file named "case holder" will need to be printed with supports. All of the other parts' print settings are yours to choose, although I don't think they will require support or raft. I would love some feedback if you have any. UPDATE (01.04.2017): I added two new cases that give the option to add a battery Adafruit's Powerboost 1000c lithium ion battery charger to make this a truly mobile console. The first case ("raspberry and battery case") is meant to replace the previous one, it is bigger than the original but allows you to add a small battery, a switch, and a Powerboost 1000c charger. I don't believe it will fit anything bigger than Adafruit's 4400mah lithium ion battery (not sure if even this will fit in it). The second case ("battery case") is an add-on to the original one, it is a separate compartment which can be screwed on top of the original case, in it there is room for the Powerboost 1000c charger, a small switch to turn the console on and off, and enough room for a large 6600mah Adafruit battery. I also changed some of the original files so they would be easier to manage and print. Print Settings Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 30-50 Post-Printing All screws should be size M3. You will need a good rubber band. First secure the screen and the raspberry in the case, and only then put the battery and charger in. If you are using the "raspberry and battery case" make sure the battery has enough room. The "battery case" will screw on top of the original "raspberry case".
