Raspberry Pi 3 Case With Sliding Lid
thingiverse
I drew inspiration from woodworking techniques when designing this custom case for the Raspberry Pi 3 - its sleek design features a smooth-sliding lid that glides effortlessly open and closed. My primary objective in crafting this bespoke enclosure was to create an attractive, high-gloss finish using Hatchbox Wood filament as the primary material. To achieve this, I planned to sand the printed parts until they were silky-smooth, then apply a rich stain to accentuate their natural beauty. So far, I have successfully printed and finished the sliding lid, which has undergone the full sanding and staining process (as seen in the accompanying photo). However, I'm currently experiencing some difficulties with my printer, which keeps getting stuck on certain print lines - a frustrating issue that I'm eager to resolve so I can complete this project.
