Raspberry Pi 3 Case with mount for Prusa i3 MK2s 3D printer
thingiverse
This is a Raspberry Pi 3 case, along with an optional attachment that allows you to secure the case to a Prusa i3 MK2s. To close the case halves, you will need four M2.5x16 socket head cap screws. If you decide to attach the mount, two M3x6 socket head cap screws are required. The mount features clearance holes for M3 screws and these holes are spaced 42.5mm apart. I remixed the original pi case due to several reasons. - The original case called for M3 screws that passed through the Pi, however the Pi documentation specifically recommends using M2.5 screws. Unfortunately, my Pi's PCB was not compatible with the M3 screws. - I made some adjustments to the geometry surrounding the Pi in order to correct a few anomalies. - Additional lead and clearance were added to the "nubs" that protrude from the top of the case. - The size of the "nubs" where they make contact with the Pi was reduced because the original design applied pressure to certain electrical components on my PCB. - I redesigned the mount to enable the removal of the pi with the case from the Prusa without disassembling the case halves. This modification makes the case relatively modular, and a new mount could potentially be used with various applications (not limited to a prusa).
