Raspberry Pi 3 Case (With and Without Logo)
prusaprinters

Another Raspberry Pi case! I wasn't quite happy with any of the designs that I could find online, so I decided to model my own. This one is heavily based around Walter's sleeve case (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:604915) for the pi 2, and updates some of the clearances to allow the pi 3 to fit. I also chose to enclose the usb and ethernet ports completely, which increases the area in the interior to allow you to place a heatsink on your pi should you choose.

This case is designed to be pressure fit. The pi itself slides in easily, but the cap is pushed in firmly to hold everything in place. I used a vice to make sure that the cap was smoothly inserted parallel to the shell.

I have uploaded a Logo version with my name, as well as a blank version. Let me know what you think!

Print instructions

Category: Electronics Summary

Another Raspberry Pi case! Because the case is modeled to only be 2mm thick, the majority of it printed solid with my wall thickness settings. I sliced it in Cura, and enabled supports from the bed to support the curvature at the SD card end of the case, I previously tried without the supports and the print failed on these contours. I used Solutech white PLA for the shell and very cheap black PLA for the cap.
