I haven't managed to print this yet. Several attempts have been made, but my filament and printer continue to struggle with cooperation. I was searching for a larger case for the Pi that could be stood upright instead of laying flat, so I could accommodate a heatsink on the underside and potentially include dual fans with airflow slits on the larger faces. Larger openings are needed for easier access with cable ends, raised supports from the case for heatsink and/or fan space, and pin/screw closures on edges. The top half is coming soon. Feedback is welcome and requested! See below regarding the other access holes Edit: The top has now been uploaded. A cut-away section where it would be opposite the larger chip on the "top" side of the board. I will create a cut-away section for airflow on the lower section soon. How I Designed This Designed in SketchUp (2017) using my own RPi3 and official case (bubbled top) as reference. 1:1 scale in mm. Walls are 1.5mm, pillars are 10mm to where the board should rest on, pins for holes are 0.5mm narrower to fit the board. The case "rod" closure hole on the HDMI/power side is 2.4mm diameter x 5mm long (10mm long parts together), and opposite side has 2 holes @ 1.4mm x 3mm x 5mm long (10mm long parts together). Re: Access Holes All of my Pis are used without screen and GPIO pins are only used for powering the fans. If there's demand, I will add the GPIO gap & camera/screen ribbon gaps. Again, work in progress.
