Raspberry Pi 3 Case for Pi & Buck Converter - Direct Prusa i3 MK3 attachment
thingiverse
I was on the hunt for a Raspberry Case that could accommodate both the Pi and a Stepdown (Buck) Converter, all powered directly from my MK3S's power supply. After failing to find anything I liked, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I designed not one, but two versions of the case - one versatile enough to fit any MK3 model (check out the photos), and another standard case design. The lid features holes specifically cut for a 40x40x10mm fan. M3 x 6 mm screws would be ideal for securing both the Pi and Stepdown converter. The same goes for the lid, where M3 x 10 (or 12) sunkhead screws would work perfectly - longer screws are also an option. I ended up using spare sunkhead screws that typically come with heat bed attachments. This case design should accommodate all Raspberry models from version 2 and upwards. A note of caution: Raspberries' default holes are a bit small, so I had to use a 3mm Drill to enlarge them. While they measure approximately 2.8mm in diameter, you might still be able to squeeze a 3mm screw through if needed. Here's a rundown of the components I used: * Stepdown Buck Converter: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B077VW4BTY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 * Raspberry Heatsinks: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07RGKLW3V/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 * Short USB Cable: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B004CDXH1K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 * 40mm Fan: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00NEMGCIA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
