Raspberry Pi 3 case
thingiverse
This is a custom-designed Raspberry Pi 3 case, created entirely from scratch using Tinkercad. The goal was to demonstrate the capabilities of this design software in crafting intricate designs without relying on existing models or modifications. Every detail, including the lid's snap-on feature and precise fit, was carefully thought out and executed. A YouTube video showcasing the design can be found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLZGq9Faka8. The case is designed to accommodate heat sinks on both the top and bottom, as well as a 30mm fan. This setup forces airflow over both sides of the board, exiting through one side. The design works seamlessly with a 30x30x7mm or similar fan. Two slits in the lid are strategically placed for camera and display ribbon cables. Additionally, there is a hole at each end for wires to be routed directly to the GPIO header. An extra lid will be added to expose the entire GPIO header strip. While it prints smoothly without supports on my machine, I anticipate that most 3D printers would require supports due to the design's complexity.
