Raspberry Pi 3 B+ NES Mini Case
thingiverse
I made this a few years back from ferreusveritas design. I didn't see the need to add all the electric components because the RPI 3 B+ was capable of giving all the functionality and most of the same button push esthetic. I redesigned the Top to include the vents, and I took out a lot of the excess fat in the bottom. I also resigned the button carriers to use smaller buttons. I'll try to update this with the code and wiring and pictures from my build assuming anyone is interested. The 3B+ has built-in WiFi and Bluetooth which makes uploading new/different games quick and easy if you know your way around the command line. The controllers are Bluetooth connected, I added the USB ports to the front of the NES for charging cables to charge the controllers, they, unfortunately, don't work while plugged in. The controllers are made by 8bitdo and I bought them from Amazon. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like they sell this model anymore, and the models they do have don't look quite as good as most of those that were available at the time. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LW7JJPJ/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DHS2K42/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07569PK5B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015I1CYFE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
