Raspberry Pi 3 and Arducam mount for Ender 3 - No extra hardware needed
thingiverse
This is a custom Raspberry Pi 3 + Camera Mount specifically designed for the Ender 3 printer. Since I couldn't find any suitable solutions that met my needs, I took matters into my own hands and created one. The design boasts several benefits: Most parts print without support, with minimal need for support in areas where it's necessary. No additional hardware is required to integrate the parts or mount the Raspberry Pi; simply slide it into place and you're good to go. Designed around the affordable Arducam, this mount accommodates the short 6" ribbon cable that comes with it, eliminating the need for a replacement purchase. The camera mount utilizes ball joints printed horizontally, which require no support and, if you have good bed adhesion, can be printed without brim. Horizontally printed ball joints are stronger and less prone to breaking than their vertically printed counterparts, allowing for tighter tolerances and a more secure fit. The camera attaches to a 2020 v-slot via a twist mount, making it easy to position anywhere you need it. All parts were thoroughly tested and fitted before being shared on Thingiverse. For anyone interested in modifying the design, I've included the source files created using Wings3D.
