Raspberry Pi 3 A+ case with 30mm fan
thingiverse
I designed my own Pi 3 A+ case, as there aren't many available. I wanted a cooling fan since the Pi is often under heavy load and I want to prevent CPU throttling, so I placed a spot for a 30mm 5vdc on the top right over the CPU. The fan I used can be found at this link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076H3TKBP/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_bDaADbS7KH2TF. The fan comes with mounting screws, and I chose to mount it blowing down onto the CPU. The cutout for GPIO is a bit tight, but my 40 pin ribbon cable fits in there without issue. Unfortunately, you won't be able to use hats or shields with this design. I close the case with #6 SAE screws, but you can easily swap them out for M3 or M3.5 if needed. The bottom is chamfered so that flat-head screws sit flush.
