Raspberry Pi 2 (or B+) baseplate
thingiverse
Designed a rugged enhancement for my Raspberry Pi2, requiring more than a standard housing but without needing an entire case, opted instead for a sleek flat plate secured with four reinforced mounting points featuring #4 x 1/4 inch screws. Strategically placed cutouts at the bottom of the plate help minimize material usage while possibly facilitating some heat dissipation. To ensure robust assembly, the bosses should be drilled out using a 7/64 drill bit; the ensuing threaded holes can accommodate self-tapping 4-40 screws, taking care not to overtighten them for proper seating. The design is provided in STL and SW10 formats for ease of use. Feedback on this concept is most welcome.
