Raspberry PI 2 multi-sides fixture
thingiverse
You've got a Raspberry Pi 2 to install in your product case? No problem when it's lying flat - just add four spacers and four screws, and you're done! But what happens when you need to install it on one side or edge? That's where this fixture comes in handy. It lets you secure the Pi in any of three sides, either above or below the board, with plenty of room for screws or nuts. Tip: If you want it as lightweight as possible (for FPV or other applications), choose the side you need, then during slicing, place that one face down on the plate (at z=0) and pause printing 10mm before finishing. I printed this using "Thingiverse Blue" - there's a logo inside, but it won't be visible when the board is in place. Print Settings: Rafts: No Supports: Yes Notes: Depending on sealing with the plate, especially with ABS; but shouldn't be required here. Pay attention to orientation: If flat, more supports are needed, but the horizontal bar will be stronger. If the "bottom of the U" is down, fewer supports are needed, but the bar becomes fragile - only if you don't need that side on the fixture.
