Raspberry Pi 2 Exoskeleton
thingiverse
Inspired by SOUNDSK's design on http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:374377, this modified version is tailored to fit the Raspberry Pi model 2/3 and offers additional mounting options. Assembly requires four #2 screws or four M3x10 cap head screws to secure the two halves together. The design features numerous pass holes, some with hex nut recesses, allowing for extra bracketry or mounting possibilities. The pc board is snugly positioned between the upper and lower components. The assembly and two halves are provided in Designspark format (.rsdoc), enabling users to modify hole sizes or wall thicknesses to optimize printing on their machine. A RaspberryPi2 model derived from a step file, available at https://grabcad.com/library/raspberry-pi-2-model-b-3d-cad-assembly-model-2, was created by Robèrt Akòpov. Print Settings: Printer: Hadron ord bot Rafts: No Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.35mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer Infill: 15% Notes: Some screw holes and nut tramps may require internal transition layers when the lower diameter exceeds the upper hole size. Three perimeters and 15% infill worked well on my printer. Use netfabb to section out a corner before printing the entire design (see rpi-exo-bot_sample2.stl). Top: Filament used = 2983.0mm (19.2cm3) Bottom: Filament used = 2255.9mm (14.5cm3)
