Raspberry Pi 2/3 case for Prusa i3
thingiverse
This is a modified Raspberry Pi case designed to be mounted directly above the Prusa i3 control board. It consists of two pieces, one of which features screw holes that align perfectly with the metal main structure of the Prusa i3. You can easily place your Raspberry Pi 2/3 in this case and secure it to your Prusa using a few simple steps. To assemble the case, use four #4 1/4" wood screws to attach the two pieces together. You'll also need two M3x10 screws to mount the entire assembly to the metal superstructure of the Prusa i3. Make sure to adjust the mounting holes to fit your specific Prusa model's requirements. Note that I initially struggled to find screws suitable for mounting the Pi inside the case, but it turns out that this wasn't necessary. The Pi sits securely within the case on its own. When preparing the case for printing, Slic3r works well, but Simpli3D offers a more robust support structure algorithm and makes post-print cleanup much easier. Although Simpli3D is an expensive option at $149, it's worth the investment in my opinion. Here are the recommended print settings: Printer: Prusa i3 Supports: Yes Resolution: 2mm layers Infill: 20%
