Raspberry CM4 Fan Holder for 30mm fans
thingiverse
This is a simple fan holder for a Raspberry CM4 compute module. The fan dimension is 30mm. I wanted to design something that can be printed without support, so I created some extra "spacers" that go between the CM4 and the fan holder. I used 2.5mm screws I had laying around to attach the holder to the module. The fan will just be put on the holder. Although it will hold itself, I simply added a drop of hot-glue on two corners to keep it in place and still allow easy replacement. I tried different thicknesses of the fan holders, but the holes in the fans I had laying around where so different that I decided to go for a universal solution. I don't want to run into issues if I ever have to replace the fan. So I choose a diameter that works with all fans. I designed this using OpenSCAD but due to some bad experiences I'm not generally sharing the source files anymore. If you need it, feel free to drop me a line... One last hint: Check the fan's airflow direction before attaching it. That's the reason why the fan orientation is different in some of the images.
