Raspberry Cluster Rack Mount

Raspberry Cluster Rack Mount

WORK IN PROGRESS! Your suggestions are eagerly anticipated. I had to find a way to organize our raspberry pi cluster in a rack, so I came up with this rapid and unpolished design. Tested with RaspberryPi 3 and 4 (should work with 2 as well). It takes up 2 units. The PiMounts snap onto the aluminum square tube. I designed two versions of the PiMount: 1) Ethernet Up: makes the rack look neater and you have a PoE hat for powering the RasPi, 2) EthernetDown: use this if you need to access the HDMI or PowerSupply USB port. I added an optional bezel cover for an OLED display that can be mounted on the front. I used this model: https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B01MQPQF24/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 You need to buy: 1) One rectangular aluminum tubing 30mm by 15mm (sorry, imperial users) 430mm long. 2) 2 M5x40mm countersunk screws with nuts. 3) Optional brass standoffs (M25) Side plates are meant to be printed without support, while the Pi support needs supports that will be removed with a blade from the slots of the latching mechanism and from the wiring channel for the OLED display.
