Rasberry Pi 2U 19 Inch Rack
thingiverse
I wanted to rack mount my collection of R-Pis in a half height 19 inch server rack alongside my full-sized servers. Existing models didn't meet my needs, as they either failed to span the entire 19 inch rack or had too much unused space. So I chose a 2U height, allowing me to rack 10 Raspberry Pis in a single "enclosure". This gave me plenty of room to expand in the future. The rack itself is segmented into smaller parts to allow easy printing on smaller printers. The rack parts can be glued together with CA glue. They can also be pre-assembled in your slicer if your printer is large enough to handle 483mm in a single direction. The Pi "Blade" can be easily slid in and out with the hook. The hook can be printed separately and glued in place with CA glue, or attached to the Pi Blade in your slicer and printed as a single unit. Blanking plates are included to fill up unused slots and maintain proper airflow in your rack. ### Future Changes/Additions In the future, I may add a section to the back to allow easy docking and undocking of cables if I can find a suitable set of angled cables to attach to the Raspberry Pi for a smooth docking experience.
