Raptor Reloaded Faceplate
thingiverse
This is my very first project for e-Nable. I built the Raptor Reloaded: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:596966 and I wanted to add a protective faceplate that will safeguard the strings while also giving it a cosmetic boost. I have included both a plain faceplate version and one with a Star Trek logo on it. You can easily customize the plain version by adding any number of items - a logo, initials, or even a cooking insignia. I used thermoforming for the first time, which was surprisingly simple to mold into the shape of the hand. There's an excellent video that demonstrates how to thermoform PLA here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BihhKHjguZY I attached the faceplate using the two screw holes closest to the wrist on the bottom (with the palm facing down). It secured easily and solidly in place. I drilled the holes after the thermoforming process was complete. This design can likely be scaled up or down to fit your specific Raptor Reloaded hand, but I haven't tested it yet. The STL files work well with hands printed at 40% to 100%.
With this file you will be able to print Raptor Reloaded Faceplate with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Raptor Reloaded Faceplate.
