PLEASE NOTE: While the Raptor Reloaded has been extremely popular in the e-NABLE community, it's no longer recommended for use except as a reference or testing tool. Testing shows that the grip capabilities of this design aren't quite as effective as more current e-NABLE designs have turned out to be. Right now, the highly-recommended e-NABLE hand models are the Phoenix v2, Unlimbited Phoenix, and Osprey. The Raptor Reloaded is an improved edition of the original version, designed after gathering feedback from the e-NABLE community members, and comes with source CAD files in STEP, IGES, IPT, and F3D formats available. Updates added in the 12-17-14 release include: -- Improved print quality thanks to specially-modeled supports -- Cyborg Beast compatible sizes are built right into this design -- The geometry of the dovetail is greatly improved for enhanced grip and feel -- A new clip to keep the tensioner locked in place has been added -- New tension pins with easy-release systems have replaced the old ones for greater comfort and efficiency during assembly and wear -- Tension-elastics can now be secured using two different methods -- Channeling is made simpler and more straightforward on this updated Raptor Reloaded -- A debossed, permanent information tag now labels every part with a clear indication of its specific design or revision status. A few key aspects have been changed as well, like thinner fingers that more accurately mimic the anatomy of an actual human hand, knuckle blocks with reduced width to improve fit and function, one-way proximal locking systems for simpler, easier-to-understand assembly, detailed instructions along with modular parts, full Fusion 360 native source files are available in STEP and IGES, elastic strings have multiple attachment points as well as traditional velcro loops on some pieces A debossed information tag permanently indicates every part's specific design status. Native CAD source files can be downloaded at: Full Assembly Left Palm Right Palm Gauntlet Proximal Phalange Fingertip Finger Snap Pin. Instructions for complete assembly are also available. Updates: -- 1/4/15 – finger snap pins have been updated (raptor_2.0_finger_pin.stl) to prevent fit problems from occurring. Full hand plates have also been upgraded to feature this improved pin design. -- 2/1/15 – the recommended way to secure elastics, along with additional detailed instructions for printing and assembling parts has now been outlined on Instructables.
