Raptor Locked and Reloaded

The "Raptor Locked and Reloaded" is a culmination of a year-long project led by undergraduate Biomedical engineering students. In their first semester, they developed a solution to forearm fatigue while trying to hold closed an e-NABLE standard hand. Their design uses a clamp to hold flexor cables in place (locked), providing freedom to move the wrist at will while still maintaining grip on the hand. Their second semester focused on performing grip force testing with and without locked flexors. The enclosed journal article details all this testing thoroughly. Since I lack personal connections with individuals who have deformities matching the e-NABLE hand solution, I'm unable to validate whether this solution is useful. Publishing this Thingiverse entry will allow anyone to try it out, hopefully reporting back with an "I Made This" showing it in action. My underlying agenda here is to provide mental stimulation for e-NABLE designers seeking to enhance existing hand designs or spark new ideas to propel these designs forward. A major shout-out goes to the project team: Chiara Sanders (who also coined this Thing's name) Ethan York Ryan Opansky Bella Reichardt The video showcasing the locking mechanism is available on YouTube: https://youtu.be/6CO1KVvv8y0
