This is an original working glider that takes to the skies like nothing else! Based on the legendary F-22 Raptor, this pioneering work is designed for your entertainment (with a borrowed cockpit from the Stratos Glider). This glider can be printed at various sizes and flown indoors or outdoors with equal excitement. A simple rubber band launch gets it airborne, and it will thrill you with different stunts depending on how you launch it. No waiting or glue required - these gliders print in under an hour and snap together instantly for quick playtime and maximum fun. Extruded from raw JPEG images of the real F-22, this replica captures the magic of the genuine article, flying smoothly even when upside down! Launched at full speed at a steep angle, it will perform aerial stunts and barrel rolls, but then gently glide back to earth and land with ease every time. Indoors, it soars short distances, perfect for dogfights! This is an amazing demonstration of aerodynamic properties. How I Designed This Reverse Engineered This design was inspired by the F-22 Raptor Jet, extruded from raw JPEG images of the real thing. The goal was to create a glider that could be printed with no prep, flying smoothly at all scales. Unlike other 3D-printed gliders, this one is stable across various sizes and speeds, resulting in smooth landings - it's truly magical! The design balances performance at different speeds, with more weight in the front for long-range high-speed flight (we use a little clay) and less weight stalling too soon. This model strikes a perfect balance, making it ideal for flyers of all skill levels.
