RapidReversalify with Python

thingiverse

This updated tool replaces M103 and M101 lines in your gcode file for testing rapid reversal in RepRap or MakerBot printers. Simply run "python RAPID_REVERSALify.py FILE.gcode printRPM reversalRPM waitTime" to use it, like this example: "python RAPID_REVERSALify.py oozebane.gcode 2.857 25 200". You'll receive a printout detailing the printing and rapid reversal specifics, as well as an output file called "oozebane_RAPID_REVERSAL.gcode". The program functions by replacing every M103 command with extruder off, M108 for rapid reversal RPM, M102 for extruder on and rapid reverse, a wait time, another set of commands for the reverse to forward transition, and finally, an M103 for extruder off and M108 for print RPM with M101 for forward printing. Every M101 command is replaced similarly for the forward motion. Remember to pause between reverse and forward commands.
