The foundation for crafting a filament guide for the RL200 extruder is straightforward. To create this basic component, start by downloading Autodesk 123D Design - it's entirely free, no cost attached. Utilize a solid 100% fill since machining is involved and any internal structure is unwanted. Print the primary piece using the established parameters. Now comes the refining phase: employ your lathe to cut a precise 6mm thread along the outer rim of the part; at the same time, use your drill press to bore a consistent 2mm hole through the centre section - keep in mind that this newly created opening can serve as an invaluable guide for further processing. To attach these printed components properly: Insert one unit into the extruder's arm section located beneath the brass reinforcement, ensuring that it securely fastens from the top downwards; concurrently, secure the second component to the outlet found within the extruder block underneath the knurled wheel. Each item should come to a natural rest at the proximity of the rotating elements without impeding their movement. A smooth and unencumbered performance will result. One extra touch I employed: incorporating a recess on top using a countersink to gently nudge the filament towards its designated passage through the printed opening - effectively streamlining this component's interaction with the rest of your printing assembly
