Rape of the Sabine - Giambologna Florence - My Version

I downloaded the MyMiniFactory model of this breathtaking, awe-inspiring sculpture group, and I was thoroughly let down by the lackluster details, failing miserably to do justice to one of the most iconic and influential masterpieces in Italian Art. So, I decided to re-sculpt the entire file with Sculptris and print it 65 cm high (a very large print using our biggest printer, the self-made M-80). This version is still not perfect. I wasn't able to capture the correct facial expression on Sabine, and her right arm remains in an incorrect position. Nonetheless, my work represents a significant step forward in sharing the beauty of this sculpture with the world. All the best from Italy (and be sure to visit the original as soon as possible!).
