Ranger's Apprentice Throwing Knife or Knives

Ranger's Apprentice Throwing Knife or Knives

This was inspired by the Ranger's Apprentice stories by John Flanagan and the fan discussion here (https://flanagan.fandom.com/wiki/Flanagan_Wiki).  I wanted to keep it simple and safe for those younger apprentices. The throwing knife has a heavy grip made with a series of leather discs one above the other with a matching brass pommel and hilt.  The blade is narrow at the hilt and tapers sharply outwards becoming thicker and wider for ¾ of the length.  Then, there is a steep reverse taper to a sharp point.  I have seen where the blade should be 20 cm but that seemed to make the knife quite large and unwieldly so I made it more ninja sized.  It seems to fit better with the Double Scabbard. This model comes in 2 parts - the handle with pommel and the blade with hilt.  Printing vertically allows for a color change.  The pommel and hilt are printed down on the table.  There is a notch at the top of the handle that can be glued into the hilt.  I printed at 0.2 mm detail with no supports.  I was able to print both pieces without a brim.  Depending on your printer you may need to add a 10-20 mm brim. The scabbard is in a separate model.
