Ranger's Apprentice Saxknife Full size

THWOK!! That's the sound of the sax knife from Ranger's Apprentice meeting a tree trunk! Yes, it can be thrown, just ask Will. I designed this sax knife based carefully off the descriptions found in the series, and modelled this specific item off a whittled knife design made many years ago. NOTE: This is too big to fit an Ender 3 sized printer, so there is an ender 3 friendly scaled version also, check that one out (you can't simply scale this one down). This was intended to be printed in relatively hard TPU, which it did phenominally well! I printed it in the upright position, so the base of the handle was touching the buildplate, and the tip was printed last. No support material anywhere, but a slower than normal print will work best, due to the sheer height of the item. Before attempting this TPU print, I designed and printed these TPU tests to ensure I was prepared and calibrated: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5317395 . I also have 2 versions of the throwing knife, check those out if interested. Lastly, I have a full-sized double-sheath made for thee exact knives, also made for TPU, so check that one out as well. J3_ out.
