Ranger Ex / Quanum Observer battery tray plate
thingiverse
This is a replacement for hobbykings Quanum Observer (Volantex Ranger Ex 757-3) battery tray. The tray is quite large, which makes it difficult for most printers to print in one go, so I've split it into two parts that you can later assemble together. I've also added mounting holes for M5 screws, allowing you to move the landing gear forward - just be sure to drill out the holes in your LG first. It's a good idea to use large washers to reinforce the mount (25mm outside diameter is what I used) and add the included caps on top so you'll still have a nice flat area for batteries. There are also two cable tunnels in this tray. To save weight, I've added some cutouts for the gear I plan to use - specifically X8R, pixhawk telemetry module, spare/VTX battery. You can choose between versions with and without these cutouts. .sldprt files are included for any mods you want to make.
