Ranger — American Tier VI aircraft carrier. The first U.S.-built aircraft carrier of special construction is the Ranger. This ship carried a large air group, making it a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. With its speed being quite high for its type, the Ranger was able to quickly respond to threats and stay ahead of the competition. However, it had some drawbacks that limited its effectiveness. The ship's lack of torpedo protection made it vulnerable to enemy attacks, and the impractical arrangement of aircraft elevators slowed down the handling of air groups.
