Random fractal snowflake in BlocksCAD
thingiverse
This is a one-of-a-kind fractal (recursive) snowflake brought to life in BlocksCAD.\r\n\r\nTo maintain perfect symmetry, I opted for a simple seeded pseudo-random number generator rather than the built-in generator (though you can set the seed to -1, and then it'll be seeded from the built-in generator, so you'll get different results each time). \r\n\r\nThe Thingiverse customizer was created by exporting from BlocksCAD to OpenSCAD and moving the variable definitions to the top of the file.\r\n\r\nI am including an image showing seeds 1-100 so you can pick which one you like. There are countless more seeds available, up to around 4 billion.\r\n\r\nThe BlocksCAD project page is located here: https://www.blockscad3d.com/community/projects/68072\r\n\r\nFor printing, I recommend increasing retraction to minimize whiskers, and then beginning the removal from the bed with a razor.
