Our Lance travel trailer has limited space to mount a paper towel holder. Installing one horizontally leads to it unrolling during travel. A counter top unit will just bounce around and take up counter/cabinet space. Since I previously removed the TV, it left an unused mounting plate on the wall. I commandeered two of the mounting screws and engineered up a towel holder that, at an angle, won't allow the supported roll of towels to unroll during transport. The angle and contour facilitates easier loading of new towels rolls due to limited access if it were mounted vertically. The model was designed in Shapr3D to support the extra large rolls of paper towels found at Costco. Holes in the bottom are for decoration and to save filament. The outside has some strengthening bars just in case. The shape was a simple cylinder wall where I revolved a ‘cutting’ sketch around and up to create a contour to enhance loading. The mounting holes are spaced 142mm apart and are oval by design to support slight variances in mounts. It could also be mounted on any surface if desired. I haven't tried it horizontally, but it might work.I printed this one using Polymaker filament on an OPXL 5H. I used the .6 Rubixon nozzle. The attached Prusa Slicer project is a .3mf and is configured with the .32 structural present for Input Shaper. The print took appx 12 hours.
