Rancilio Rocky spout - doser to doserless conversion
thingiverse
This model is all that you need to convert a doser Rancilio Rocky into a doserless model. The doser model of the Rancilio Rocky poses a significant problem for home users, with a substantial amount of coffee accumulating in it between uses and adding an extra step to the grind process. I have since upgraded to a different machine, but this project seemed interesting. When you remove the doser, however, there is now several mm of gap between the grind chamber and the outer metal frame, making it impossible to use that way. I wanted to design a compression-fit component rather than spending $30 on a spout and the rubber spacer needed from the doserless model. It was measured and designed specifically for my machine. The outer body of the Rocky is completely separate from the functional interior, so each machine will have slightly different offsets and tolerances for the spout. That's why this model has non-uniform dimensions. You will likely need to adjust the model or do some light sanding to make it fit yours. Printer Settings Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 5 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .25 Infill: 20% Notes: Print with the flat rectangular surface on the bed. Printing with supports is recommended. They're easy enough to remove and make the edge where the spout sits against the grinder cleaner.
