RAMPS cooling fan bracket
thingiverse
This bracket, positioned above the Pololu A4983 stepper drivers on the RAMPS (RepRap Arduino Mega Pololu Shield), supports a 40mm diameter cooling fan. The 40X40X20 12VDC fan, with stock number 544-0526, is countersunk and fixed using M3x30 socket screws. Alignment holes in the bracket match those on the shield board for easy mounting. A M3 stud coated in PTFE tube prevents shorts when positioned above the shield. The fan plugs into 12VIN and GND-IN pins below D8 on the shield. To assemble, print and clean holes in the bracket with an M3 drill bit. Fasten the fan using washers to protect the components, then attach the bracket above the shield via M3 studs and nuts. Lastly, connect the fan's red wire to 12VIN and black wire to GND-IN pins on the shield.
