RAMPS/Arduino Mega Enclosure REDUX
thingiverse
This enclosure is a unique take on hrishib's original design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2047835). I was drawn to the general concept but wanted to simplify the process for printers by eliminating the need for super-glueing hex nuts to the case. This design requires: 4 x M3 Hex nut 4 x M3x12mm Screws (to connect the lid to the case) You will also need 4 additional screws and hex nuts to secure the fan and its cover, with lengths of 20mm each. Be sure to adjust the parts in your slicer so they lie flat on the bed. Note that the pins for attaching the Arduino Mega are quite tight; you'll need to angle the board and align the screw holes first before carefully pressing it into place. I've since modified the pins holding the arduino to make installation easier and removal simpler. Additionally, I've revised the top cover to feature a larger hole for fan ventilation, addressing an issue with earlier designs that left some 40mm fans without enough space.
