Ramps and Arduino Mega enclosure for 3030 v-slot
thingiverse
Enclosure for Ramps 1.4 and Arduino Mega 2650 attaches seamlessly to 3030 V-slot with sturdy 5mm bolts and slide nuts, while all other hardware uses 3 mm fasteners (12 bolts, 9-12 nuts). The slight variation in nut count stems from differences between printers utilized. Mounting holes for arduino/ramps are precision-designed to facilitate direct screw insertion, though over-tightening may necessitate using nuts to securely retain the ramps/arduino boards. Cut-outs on top and bottom enable easy cable entry: at the top for LCD cables and for the USB cable, allowing effortless firmware updates. Lettering for the cover can be printed in a secondary color and pressed into place for an exceptionally smooth finish. A cut-out accommodates a 40mm fan on the cover; alternatively, a part called blower_fan_plate.stl is included, permitting the use of a more powerful blower fan for enhanced airflow over stepper drivers.
