This thing is specifically designed for securing a RAM Track on the A-pillar cover of a Newmar Motorcoach, serving as a captive nut backing plate. To mount a 9" RAM Track, two of these plates are required, which not only holds six #10-32 Nyloc nuts securely in place but also eliminates the need to use a wrench behind the trim piece or worry about losing nuts that might fall behind the dash.
