Ram Promaster Fan Spacers for Maxxair Fan
thingiverse
This custom-built spacer is designed for installing a Maxxair fan on the roof of a Ram Promaster van. The ribbed roof requires some form of spacers unless large amounts of sealant are used to fill the gaps, which can be messy and expensive. Online stores sell pre-made spacers for $50, but these DIY spacers achieve the same result at a significantly lower cost. Typically, six rib spacers are needed, however, my extended van necessitated an additional U-shaped spacer to fit snugly between the roof panels' seam where I positioned the fan. I opted for PETG material, yet discovered that the Silicone 2 sealant does not adhere well to it; ABS might be a better choice in this case, but since it's encased in sealant, any minor issues are unlikely to cause problems.
