RAM-Compatible Double-Ball DIY
thingiverse
This is the central part of the Double Ball RAM component, RAM-B-230. Designed with two pan-head Philips 1/4-20 screws and a 1/4-20 coupling nut to assemble, this ball section can be printed with the screw axis vertical, ensuring that metal components hold the ball together and prevent layer delamination. To create a Double Ball component, you will need to print two ball ends; however, mounting a 1/4-20 female end opens up various possibilities for use. It's ideal for attachment to a tripod, thanks to its versatile design. A 0.2mm tolerance is built into all mating surfaces - assuming your printer is accurate, it should fit snugly.
