Ram Block Percussion
thingiverse
These percussion blocks were designed with the goal of producing an array of 3D printable musical instruments that are not only affordable but also pleasing to the ear. The blocks can be attached to a drum kit or percussion rig, allowing you to create a custom sound experience. Alternatively, you can print the handle, nut, and bolt to play the blocks by hand, making them perfect for use in parades or other outdoor events. The Percussion blocks come in three different sizes, each designed to accommodate a 10.5mm Rod and U Clamp. The attachment area of all blocks measures 25mm X 22mm with an 11mm hole. I have also included printable designs for handles, nuts, and bolts that can be used to connect the blocks together and create a hand-held instrument. To achieve the best results, print these blocks with at least a 30% infill, which will produce a rich sound quality. However, it's recommended to print the bolt at 50% infill for optimal performance. Additionally, consider printing every other row of supports inside the Ram Block interior to make removal easier. This set includes six printable files: Small Block, Medium Block, Large Block, Handle, Nut, and Bolt.
