A robust internal axial compression reinforcement may be achieved by adding an extra M3x30 mm hex cap screw and nut (one of each) through the center axis of the ball mounting point. This design produces pre-load compression on printed layers when printed with the bolt hole perpendicular to the printing surface. This feature may prevent catastrophic failure or loss of attached devices when subjected to forces exceeding material specifications.
