Added sides to shield the back of the GPS from the sun's direct rays and secured a cable bracket to prevent cables from slithering underneath the device. Numerous Fillets have been replaced with Chamfers to reinforce structural integrity, along with several minor modifications. A 3/16" drill bit will be necessary to enlarge the mount holes. This GPS holder attaches directly above the Infotainment screen on the dash. I created it because my standard GPS holder was falling short. The intense sunlight where I live causes my GPS to overheat, so I designed this holder to address that issue. This version should not require any additional screws or hardware; simply remove the rubber platform, unscrew the existing mounts, and attach this holder using the same screws. It's slightly smaller than the prototype, but it should accommodate a GPS unit measuring 80mm in height. If you have suggestions for enhancing compatibility or durability, please share them with me.
