Rally Obedience Sign-Stand
thingiverse
For our training I designed these simple stands. Take the sign (216 mm is the height of the laminated print) and place it behind the clips. Move the stand to the back and position it wherever you want. The construction is very lightweight, so you can use a tent spike to secure the signs if it's windy. There are two versions - one is foldable and thus more suitable for smaller printbeds. If you plan to use them in direct sunlight, consider printing with ABS. These signs require no support during printing. To assemble: Print ro_halter (22 cm long) and ro_stuetze for version 1 rally_halter_v2_part1, rally_halter_v2_part2 and ro_stuetze for version 2 - (foldable) ro_halter_V3 and stuetze3_lang for the version with the longer leg. Use a piece of 1.8 mm filament for the hinge and use a lighter to make the ends soft, then press them flat so they don't slip out. Still working on improving these stands. On uneven ground or windy days, stability isn't as good as I had hoped. So I designed a version with a longer "stuetze." This is more stable - an updated STL file will soon be available after further testing. You can find the signs at this link: http://www.vdh.de/fileadmin/media/hundesport/rally_obedience/2016/RO_Regelwerk_VDH_3.0_Stand_01-2017_Anhang_1_UEbungsschilder_VDH_10-06-16_HP_.pdf UPDATE: Added a Version 3 with a longer leg for better stability, and I used this opportunity to replace "stuetze" with a new one featuring a reinforced foot.
