Does your garden need an adorable rabbit wearing a hat as he rakes the ground? I thought so! This print is very easy to print and to make it extra special, you can print it in an iron composite filament and give it a rusty look like I did.

Print Details and Settings

This model needs no supports.

This model doesn't need to be scaled to fit the print bed on a Prusa MK3S. Rotate the model carefully until it's within the print boundaries.

You can print it with a standard 0.40 mm nozzle, however a 0.60 mm hardened steel nozzle is advised if printing with iron composite PLA.

Print layer setting is 0.20 mm

Infill is 20% with gyroid infill pattern

Rusting Directions

If you'd like to create this model in iron composite, you can follow these instructions for successful rusting.

Sand the model with sandpaper between 80 and 220 grit. The scratches help expose more of the iron. Wipe off loose dust.

Mix one part white vinegar, one part hydrogen peroxide, and some table salt and stir to dissolve the salt completely. I used ½ cup of each vinegar and hydrogen peroxide and two tablespoons of salt.

Lay the model flat and using a spray bottle, spray the mixture very thinly on one side. Allow it to dry and spray another fine layer. Continue under desired results and repeat on the other side.

The rust can wipe off after everything dries. To prevent this, apply a clear top coat to the model.
