RAK815 Enclosure

RAK815 Enclosure

This is a straightforward enclosure for the RAK815 tracker. The RAK comes with an OLED screen attached to plastic stand-offs, which can be quite frustrating to work with. To make it easier, detach the screen from the board and mount it inside the front of the case before installing the RAK board itself, which should fit snugly into place. There are four mounting pillars for the OLED screen, but they're not enough to hold the screen securely in place. You'll need to add some hot glue or melt down the pillars to create nubs that keep the screen from moving around. If you prefer a more secure installation, take advantage of the nut traps in the screw pillars, which allow screws to be inserted without going all the way through the case. The case's front and back are easily printable with FDM, but be aware that the button pin is very small. You may need an exceptionally well-tuned FDM printer to print it out nicely. I opted for my small resin printer instead, which worked perfectly for the three buttons I needed. I used PETG for this project, but you can use any material you like.
