Raised Kossel mini effector

Raised Kossel mini effector

prusaprinters

This is an effector that has the mount for the hotend raised so that you can get that extra 5 cm of build height. My sintron kossel mini has some Chinese e3d clone, so I measured it and arbitrarily picked a height for the design, but it's parametric so you can change it in the scad file.

I liked designs like Laurman's kossel effector but they used magnetic rods and I don't, so I designed a new one. the idea for cooling is that based on how you want your cooling to work, you tape over a different number of holes. if you want all of the air to go down the bottom and cool the print too, then just cover all the holes with tape and "seal" the fan to the effector with more tape (you can see I like tape). if you do this, I highly recommend that you use a silicone sock for your hotend because the air will be cooling that, too.

I will add a mount for some sort of inductive sensor soon, as well as maybe a mount for a layer cooling fan.

Print instructions

Category: 3D Printer Parts Print Settings

Printer Brand: Prusa

Printer: i3 MK2S

Rafts: Doesn't Matter

Supports: Yes

Resolution: doesn't matter

Infill: 100% (for durability)

Filament: doesn't matter; I use overture NOT pla, preferably PETG or ABS doesn't matter
Notes:

There is a fan placeholder block in the scad file when you preview it, but if you render it should go away so that it isn't in the STL.
