Raised J-Head Mount 2.0
thingiverse
This derivative of my original Version 1 Raised J-Head mount is based on roberlin's J-head design (thingiverse.com/thing:53560). The center section height has been increased by 10mm to raise the hot end further, with the nozzle now sitting about 8mm below the carriage for clearance. Additional Z-height could be gained, but this setup is nearly optimal. The inner mounting ring was narrowed for easier J-Head fitting. For improved fan motor alignment and gear placement, the top of the fan mount has been narrowed, with a custom shim created to accommodate fan screw offsets while also incorporating an air reflector for enhanced airflow towards the J-Head. Print with at least 40% infill, use support for overhangs, and require hardware including two 20mm M5 bolts, nuts, washers, two 16mm M3 machine screws, four 40mm M3 machine screws (suitable for qu-bd fans), and two 20mm M3 machine screws to secure bdring's thing:38281 to the motor (optional Mickb's thingiverse.com/thing:43411 fan adapter). Mirror the provided files for left-side extruding requirements.
